Dancing Queen

She took her first lesson at the age of 11, and since then 18-year-old Carla-Grace has done nothing but go from strength to strength.

In 2007 she performed with the Maya dance company in Shall We Dance. In 2008 she danced her sword solo at the Hilton Arts Festival, and again in Shall We Dance at the Playhouse Theatre. In 2009 she won the very first Miss Belly Dance South Africa as well as winning first place for her sword dance.

Her first international dance was in the Heshk Beshk Oriental Dance Festival Competition 2011 in Venice in which she was placed second, and in December 2011 she was winner of Miss Belly Dance Italy 2011-2012 at the Marhaba 6th International Belly Dance Festival in Rome.

Carla-Grace will be performing six of her own choreographed professional dances, all never seen before in South Africa, at the Italian Club in Durban this Saturday – 21st April. Three of these dances will be performed in Berlin, Vienna and Venice later this year.

Two shows will take place on Saturday, a lunch time and supper show. Each show will include a two-course Italian meal.
