Currently midway through its luxury revamp, the Delcairn Lifestyle Centre is conveniently situated just two minutes from the M13 and en route to St Mary’s DSG. With tenants including Woolworths Food, Standard Bank, health stores, a chic clothing boutique and top-class hairdressers, there’s something for everyone.
There’s a real buzz about the centre, with so much on offer. If you haven’t visited Delcairn Lifestyle Centre yet, you’re in for a surprise. It holds so much more than you’d expect, with 29 tenants covering over 3 500m². Whether you’re picking up new ballet shoes for your daughter, a remote control helicopter for your son or dropping your cellphone off for repairs, it’s all there, with parking conveniently located right outside the door.

The dining options are varied – from a quick curry and pizza to authentic Thai, sushi and a vibey Italian-style trattoria. Plus, there’s Nino’s for breakfast, coffee, cakes and more. To improve your dining experience and in line with the new look, Nino’s and John Dory’s will be given improved outdoor seating areas.
Other services available in the centre include EduBlox, Harvey World Travel, The Firm, The Bed Store and Studio 39 jewellery design!
The revamp is headed by Dereck Peterson of Human Habitat Design, the architect behind a number of successful commercial and residential projects, including homes within the exclusive Simbithi Eco-Estate. “The work we’re doing will improve the overall shopping experience, giving the centre a brighter, more youthful look and feel,” he said.

The updates show a real attention to detail and a desire by the owners to guarantee you a world-class shopping experience. Phase one of the development began in August 2012 and includes fresh paint and tile work throughout the mall, state-of-the-art toilet facilities, as well as improved lighting in the corridors and parking areas.
Phase two will see Woolworths expand its floor space to ensure that you find everything you need. The parking area will be re-organised to ensure maximum space and ease of use, so that you can be in and out without delay. The rear parking area will also be repaved, with all work scheduled to be completed in May 2013.
Along with this new look comes a new name – Delcairn Lifestyle Centre – and improved signage, so that you can spot the stores you need, quickly and easily.
Assisting in the transformation are AimQS, Ugesi Africa Consulting, DE Consultants, Ahrens Teixeira and Associates and GVK-Siya Zama Building Contractors, who have renovated numerous landmark buildings across South Africa.
