In order to ease traffic congestion over the festive period roads in the beachfront area of Durban will be closed from next weekend. Albert Terrace will be closed at Browns Road, and Camperdown Road will be boomed off at Albert Terrace.
Only those with permits will be given vehicular access. Police will be patrolling regularly over the holidays, with a large police presence on the major holiday dates.
Those heading to the Golden Mile by public transport will be dropped off at a specified zone where a taxi or bus will finish the trip.
