Over 25 ancient and mystic dinosaurs from the Dinos Alive Exhibition will soon make SUNCOAST their home from 12 November to 10 January 2016.
The animatronic dinosaurs are realistically modelled after their real-life counterparts, with lifelike skin and texturing. The likes of the winged Pteranodon, towering Diplodocus and horn-rimmed Stegosaurus are popular attractions on show. In addition, fossil displays, a mock excavation pit, rides on the popular T-Rex and Apatosaurus, and a jumping castle will be on offer.
The exhibition has become an instant favourite amongst children and adults alike and part of the fascination is due to the realistic movements and sounds made by the dinosaurs, thanks to the animatronics technology.
“An exhibition for the entire family, Dinos Alive not only entertains but also stimulates the mind,” says SUNCOAST Marketing Manager, Louise Howell. She adds: “Exhibitions such as these are vastly important from an educational point of view as many children do not get the chance to experience such a world of intrigue, technology and discovery. Children and even adults will get an intimate and real sense of how these wonderful creatures once roamed the earth; it’s truly an experience not to be missed.”
The Durban exhibition will feature five information boards that explain the three historic ages of the dinosaur: Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous, as well as a look at life before and after these reptiles roamed earth. Tickets for the exhibition are already on sale and can be purchased online from webtickets.co.za.
The show will be open seven days a week from 09h00 to 19h00.
