It is the time of year when we all become aware of the huge number of fireworks exploding all around us, and when our dogs and cats cower under tables. This joyful, if noisy Festival is of course Diwali, which each year has a unique theme, this year being Vasudhaiva Katumbakum, which means ‘may the world be one family’
In the spirit of reaching across borders, why not head down to the old Drive in site in Durban and join in with this multi coloured celebration. If you enjoy Indian food, and hospitality you will have a ball.
There will be dancing, food, a float parade, music and of course fireworks. On Friday there is a youth and old age programme, on Saturday the celebrations run from 7am to midnight, with a bhangra bash, and the main fireworks display, and it kicks off again on Sunday from 7am to 7pm
