Make your way down to People’s Park, Moses Mabhida Stadium for a fun-packed day of rugby and music at East Coast Radio’s annual Durban Day concert on Sunday, 11 September 2011.

The day will kick-off at 10.30am with the start of South Africa’s Rugby World Cup campaign, as the Springboks take on Wales in Wellington.
This will be followed by a fantastic line-up of music, from Freshly Ground, the Afro-fusion band that performed alongside Shakira at the Soccer World Cup last year, to local KZN performers Farryl Purkiss, Lloyd Cele and The Arrows.
Idols fans will get the chance to see Season 6 winner Elvis Blue live on stage, as well as hip-hop star HHP and international-renowned Watershed.
Durban Day offers something for the entire family, from jumping castles and face painting in a secure entertainment area for the kids to mechanical surfboards, adventure castles and an East Coast Radio photo booth. Bring your own picnic basket or splash out at fabulous food and drink stalls. There will also be a full bar and plenty of secure parking available.
Tickets are R100 pre-sale at Computicket or in-store at Checkers, Checkers Hyper or Shoprite Checkers or R150 on the day. Kids under 12 get in free.

Why are they having this year’s Durban Day on a Sunday? It makes more sense to have it on a Saturday as they did last year.
