Pearl Hodnett (85) won the East Coast Radio Breakfast Show makeover with Image Insured, being chosen out of thousands of entries.
After hearing about a makeover on an 80-year-old in Australia, ECR challenged Fay and Megan of Image Insured to do the same thing with Pearl. “We loved the challenge and Pearl was wonderful to work with,” said Fay. “After her Colour and Figure Analysis, we took her shopping and bought her a beautiful new wardrobe in the ‘Autumn’ colours correct for her. We balanced her ‘A-Shaped’ figure with the right styles, with amazing results. We want to assure all women out there – it is never too late in life to look good!”
Grant Harper of Terry Scott Hair Fashion La Lucia coloured Pearl’s hair with Colour Touch dark golden blonde with a touch of brunette to create a warm reflection to complement her skin tone. He used Illumina 9 and 9/7 in foil slices around her hairline. A graduation technique was used to create a style that best suits her face shape.
