The Spar Festival in the Hills is back and it’s an event not to be missed! Now in its tenth year, it’s a celebration of the Arts, with fun for the whole family at Makaranga Gardens on 2 and 3 August 2014.

Pack a picnic, bring the kids and settle in for a great weekend of outdoor enjoyment. Scheduled to take advantage of our gorgeous winter weather, Spar Festival in the Hills presents a fabulous line-up of art and music on August 2 and 3, 2014.
The event kicks off on Saturday with performances by the award-winning choirs from Kearsney College, St Marys DSG and Hillcrest High School’s Glee Choir, recently returned from the 2014 World Choir Games. Sunday brings the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra to Kloof, where they will perform with 300 young singers, led by well-known conductor Richard Cock.
Art lovers are in for a treat with the Plascon Art Exhibition running concurrently over the two days in the Convention Centre of Makaranga Garden Lodge.
All profits raised over the festival weekend will be used by Rotary Club of Kloof for projects within our community, such as the building of a new library at Gillitts Primary School and ongoing support for Ubuntu Crisis Centre, amongst others.

Saturday – R70 for adults; R30 for scholars
Sunday – R100 for adults, R80 for pensioners and R30 for scholars.
