To start, you can print a handy template at www.funhandprintartblog.com or if you are a whiz on the computer, you can make your own, or just hand write the message on your paper or card.
• Whether hand-written or printed out, your card should read “My Dad is King of the Grill (or Braai) – and I’m not Lion” at the top.
• Make a yellow footprint in the centre of the card with the toes pointed down.
• Paint just the fingers (not including the thumb) with orange or brown paint.
• Press them down around the heel of the foot to create the lion’s mane. Repaint the fingers as needed.
• Paint a yellow tail. • Make an orange/brown thumbprint at the end of the tail.
• Draw on the lion’s face when dry and add googly eyes.
