Durban is gearing up to host the prestigious Good Food and Wine Show from 28 to 31 July, and this year’s event promises to be as exciting as ever, with a host of celebrity chefs, food stalls, an outdoor cooking experience and – the ultimate celebration of our local cuisine – Durban bites!
This extremely popular part of the show highlights what’s hot right now, with a collection of the city’s best chefs in one great outdoor setting. The Corner Post Situated in Howick, this restaurant’s menu is an expression of the “terroir” of the KZN Midlands, celebrating the many passionate and knowledgeable producers in the area, whose organic produce ensures freshness and seasonality.
Keys on Florida offers a unique social experience with its exquisite Portuguese-styled menu, including their signature grilled peri peri chicken and prawn combo. This is a must-try for any first timer.
The Three Cities Group will be showcasing a selection of their finest restaurants: DISH Restaurant for elegant and soulful dishes; Cosmopolitan that oozes style; Riverside Café for their famous prawn and chicken bunny chow; The Royal Grill for a delicious bistro meal; or Ulundi Tapas Restaurant for a meal that is inspired by the spices and colours of Durban.
Steak & Ale offers delicious home-style cooking, in an atmosphere that is vibey yet relaxed. The menu showcases the finest quality meats, paired with speciality ales – a must for all meat lovers!
