And just like that we are heading towards the summer – the evenings will get longer and the days will get warmer – I might get home in the daylight hours again…! And with the warmer weather will come some more family Arthur camping trips! I am really hoping to go to the White Mountain Festival with my family this year, now that we are eager campers. I’ve never been so it will be another first on our South African bucket list! As I write this, we are on the final countdown to the ‘12th Annual Mum’s Mail “Fantasea” High Tea’. The event on Friday 1 September at Greyville Racecourse, is set to be another huge success – let’s hope we can beat last year’s fundraising total of R215 000! I’d like to say a HUGE ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has made this event possible, from all of our sponsors – small and large, to the fundraising team, including Alice Leah of The A List and Steph Berry of The Sunflower Fund, the Mum’s Mail Team and the many volunteers who generously give of their time to help such an amazing charity! Donate your pre-loved bras and help young ladies in need! The A-List is asking women to donate clean, gently used or new bras to help young ladies in 41 selected children’s homes. You can drop off the bras at the Mum’s Mail office at 2 Romsey Grove, Durban North – or at selected drop off points around the greater eThekwini area.
