A team of speech-language therapists provide individualised paediatric intervention programmes for a wide range of communication difficulties at schools in the Upper Highway area and at the practice.
Our audiology clients range from newborn babies to our active 90-plus year olds. “Early identification of infants and children with hearing loss allows us a window of opportunity to intervene and change language skills,” says Julie, who is passionate about this area.
“Equally important is the assistance that we can provide to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing adults – appropriate hearing aid solutions can enhance quality of life and keep our clients socially connected.
Julie is also a member of the Durban Cochlear Implant team, assisting the severely Deaf population to access sound.
“I love my job,” Julie concludes, “being part of a family’s journey to better communication is a privilege.”
