October 28, 2010: Durban hit by heavy winds and rain today. Popular surf website Magic Seaweed predicts 56 to 65km/h winds, while SA Weather predicts about 35km/h gusts to hit Durban. Heavy cloud are gathering and there’s a 30% chance of rain (according to www. weathersa.co.za).
Make that 100% chance of rain.
That was a hefty storm, still cold and very windy. Gusting winds at least 35km/h. Be careful on the roads; slick after all that rain.

Just received a call from KwaDukuza Township (Stanger) and a number of roofs have been torn off buildings. Some panic there among residents. Give them some time in your prayers.

That was a violent storm. It seemed to come from the south-west. Hope our neighbours in Shongweni and Hillcrest area were not too badly affected. They always seem to get the worst of it. Hope the good folk of KwaDukuza are all safe.
