The Hillcrest Private Hospital have taken on the Santa Shoe Box initiative as their end-of-year community project.
The Santa Shoe Box project is the initiative of the Kidz2Kidz Trust that co-ordinates the collection and distribution of personalised gifts to underprivileged children across South Africa and Namibia.
Doctors and staff from all departments at the Hillcrest Private Hospital enthusiastically covered and filled their Santa Shoeboxes, some individually, others as a group project.
Initiated by Maria Dreyer, Unit manager of Surgical 2, the project started small but by delivery day had over 100 shoe boxes thoughtfully covered and filled for a particular child.
