Men around the world are celebrating a US man’s invention of an iPhone-controlled fridge which can be programmed to fire cans of beer across a room from a cannon. To the joy of his new legion of admiring fans, Ryan Rusnak, 25, has created the “Beer Bot” by adding a compressed air cannon to a vending machine that dropped chilled beers from the fridge into a tray below.
Rusnak commented: “The first attempt smashed the can into the roof and blew it into a thousand pieces. All the tinkering and everything took about three months to get it absolutely right.”
Now when Rusnak wants a beer, he uses his phone to log into the fridge, picks what sort of beer he wants and fires it over to where he is sitting.
He was rather impressed with the fruits of his labour: “After working an eight-hour day, coming in and firing a can to yourself is just the best thing. Even now I’ve fired it hundreds of times and it’s still cool.”
