It’s a partnership of two of Durban North’s greatest musical talents: Idols VI contestant Jess Yallup is set to join former Tree63 frontman John Ellis on his 5 date tour of the Western Cape, kicking off on Saturday 13.
Yallup made it through to the final 7 of this season’s Idols contest and is excited to open for Ellis on his tour. “I have never seen Cape Town but I believe I have lots of fans there,” she commented.
Ellis will be showcasing material off his recently released self-produced debut solo album, Come Out Fighting but will also perform some of Tree63’s biggest hits such as Treasure and A Million Lights. The shows promise to be unique and intimate with lots of audience interaction.
Tickets range from R30-R60 and are available at each venue on the night.
Serious guitarists and songwriters are also in for a treat as Ellis facilitates a fan requested Q&A workshop on Tuesday, November 16, hosted by COPA, where aspiring musicians can chat to John about music and the music industry.
