Don’t miss the Keep Kloof Beautiful Association AGM on 22 October 2013, when renowned horticulturalist (and proud Kloof resident) Chris Dalzell will show you how to create a stunning verge in just a few hours and without great expense.
“A beautiful verge is not only enjoyable to look at, it also promotes safety and pride within the community,” says Chris. “We want to encourage all Upper Highway residents to improve their own patch of ground and hope to set up a competition to recognise those that have gone the extra mile.”
Chris has worked around the world, establishing exceptional natural habitats, including at the Durban Botanical Gardens and Gardens By The Bay in Singapore. He heads up the landscaping division of SuperClean, which is fully in support of this initiative, and has offered its staff to help kick-start the project.
His talk will include practical information on which plants to choose, establishing your verge and how to maintain it.
