Over the years, we have had numerous reasons to feature the work of Kloof Conservancy. Now, this band of volunteers has been recognised by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife for their exceptional contribution to conservation in our province.
Projects highlighted in the citation of this external award include an innovative signage system which uses smartphone technology to make a visit to the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve more interactive; the Kloof Conservancy Three Falls Trail Run, which has, over the past two years, contributed towards a 35% increase in visitor numbers to the reserve, as well as raising over R120 000 for conservation in the area; and various outreach efforts beyond the reserve, which all act to spread a conservation mindset and expand the “green footprint”.

We at Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife are exceptionally proud of the Kloof Conservancy and, it must be said, all those people who continue to support them. Their passion and wisdom, and the success they have achieved are highly deserving of this award.”
