The DuBois Gallery is holding an art exhibition at the Hillcrest Corner Shopping Centre, Woolworths Court, from 27 to 30 October, with part of the proceeds going to the SPCA and Horse Unit, Kloof.
The exhibition will feature various styles of art, mainly oil and acrylics on canvas, with a range of sizes, all at affordable prices.
To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, Deon Smith of Culture Club will host a snacks and wine evening from 6pm on Friday, 28 October. Tickets are R50 per person and are available at Culture Club, The Hillcrest Corner, Shop 16, Upper Level.
Until December, a framed oil on canvas picture entitled “Greater Flamingo at Dawn” will be raffled as part of the exhibition, this will also be on display at Culture Club. Tickets cost R10 and will help protect and treat the animals under the care of the SPCA and Horse Unit, Kloof. Get your tickets from the exhibition, Culture Club, as well as Hillcrest Art Supplies at Lillies Quarter and Winston Park Vet at Gillitts Shopping Centre.
SPCA Kloof is hoping to build a much needed Puppy Section, which has been planned and passed, but the funds are still lacking. Your contribution could help to make this a reality.

I want to thank all the people who visited, commented, purchased and supported this fundraiser and show – it was a great success and all at the Du Bois Gallery had a lot of fun too.
It was a huge disappointment that the Wine and Snacks evening had to be cancelled the day before due to lack of support – Deon had organised a wonderful evening with piano music and eats. Perhaps a wednesday is a bad choice of evening so we have chosen a friday for the next event. Please join us on Friday 28 October for the next evening RSVP.
