A load of logs, which were blocking the road on the N2 north bound, close to the Mount Edgecombe/Gateway off-ramp has been removed.
The logs which had apparently been blocking the road since late last night caused traffic to back up as far as the KwaMashu offramp on Monday morning. Motorists were urged to use alternative routes such as through Durban North or the R102.
Road Traffic Inspectorate officials were on the scene and the road had been cleared by 11am today.
