Durban power couple Koobeshen and Kumseela Naidoo have embarked on a new project that combines their love for the arts as well as their passion for cooking.
Koobeshen Naidoo is KZN’s popular comedian and actor, known for his principal role as Pranav in the daily Etv soapie, Imbewu The Seed and Elvis Kundasamy in Keeping up with the Kundasamys. The dynamic Kumseela Naidoo is an educator, writer, a motivational speaker and a theatre performer.
When they are not on stage performing shows under the Dingalings banner, the couple enjoys entertaining friends and family and they have decided to channel this passion and combine what they do best – entertaining and teaching. The most frequently asked questions from colleagues and fans alike is how they balance the limelight and family life, and so they are launching a cooking class that shows young couples starting off how to make everything from a five-course meal to a 20-minute dinner.
“As parents, we are especially fussy about serving wholesome meals and also understand the need for couples to entertain in a competitive and creative environment. Our classes will be small and private and will demonstrate how to do everything from scratch for beginners in an entertaining environment,” say Kumseela and Koobeshen.
Participants will be treated to first-hand interaction with Koobeshen, the reluctant helper and his dynamic partner Kumseela whose passion and skill in creating super quick meals, Indian cooking, desserts and starters and everything any hostess needs to know.
