The #luckyfewtattoo was designed by Mica May at a Down Syndrome moms get together, at Ruby’s Rainbow Retreat in Austin, Texas.
This symbol unites moms and families in courage across the world and helps to create awareness among the general population.

And those of us living with this gift really and truly are the lucky few,” says Joanne Coetzee, a Durban mom to a son with Down syndrome.
For World Down Syndrome Day, which falls on 21 March, Brad from Bluff Ink Tattoos has generously come on board and will be running a special on the #luckyfewtattoo for the whole month of March 2018. Price starts from R300 and R50 per Tattoo will be donated back to the KZN Down Syndrome Association.

The Down Syndrome Association is a lifeline for parents and families of children with Down Syndrome. No child is born with an instruction manual and when your world has been turned upside down by a diagnosis – your emotions are all over the place and you’re not sure where to start… the DSA becomes your lifeline. It is an NPO that is made up of parents and families with children who have Down syndrome. The DSA offers parent support, counselling, a library resource centre, outreach projects, newsletters/magazines, prenatal counselling, social outings, educational presentations and workshops.
