Get ready for the 12th annual Durban Homemakers Expo on 3 to 5 October 2014, where you can view, touch and discuss a wide range of basic and essential home improvement products as well as beautiful decor, accessories and furniture.
The Durban Homemakers Expo is partnering with DStv to present a diverse and representative local and national exhibitor line-up on 220 stands, offering ideas and solutions to beautify and improve your home.
Start your Homemakers Expo experience by walking through the beautifully designed entrances designed and built by the students of the Design School of Southern Africa.
Then visit the ever-popular “What’s it Worth” Antique Roadshow, where visitors can bring their forgotten antiques and heirlooms to be valued and appraised free of charge by trusted hosts, Thunder Auctioneers. Who knows what’s in that old suitcase in the attic…
the SCASA Barista Championships
at the Coffee Lovers Theatre.
The SCASA Barista Championships at the Coffee Lovers Theatre presents KZN’s best baristas and coffee experts who will entertain, inform and inspire visitors with their impressive performances and knowledgeable insights into coffee preparation and serving.
You can also see five local schools compete in the “My Durban” School Mural competition sponsored by Shave Paint and Decor, featuring five fun and colourful interpretations of what Durban is all about!
Food lovers will not be disappointed either, as a range of deli goodies will be available to taste and enjoy at the Expo. This year will introduce the Flavours of the World Demo Kitchen, where local Chefs will delight you with inspiring live demonstrations.
Finally, for the 2nd year running, you can support the CSI stand, A Brick in the Wall, where the Durban Homemakers Expo supports the local St. Monica’s Children Home – an initiative supported by Meals on Wheels. Please participate in this amazing initiative by buying your sticker ‘brick’ for R20 from Meals on Wheels and pasting it on the Care Centre wall. A Brick in the Wall is sponsored by Oasys Innovations.
The Durban Homemakers Expo takes place from 3 to 5 October at the Durban Exhibition Centre. Entrance costs R50 for adults, R25 for pensioners and children under 12 get in free.
