November 8, 2011. East Coast Radio Newswatch reported that a man around 65 years old has drowned at Boulder Bay, Ballito, after getting into difficulty around 12 noon today.
The man was apparently seen waving his hands in the air, clearly in difficulty. Lifeguards responded immediately to attempt a rescue but unfortunately paramedics on the scene – despite prolonged efforts – were unable to revive the man.
ECR reported that the man was a holidaymaker from Gauteng. – Ridge Correspondent
