23-year-old Craig Steynberg has been missing since Easter Monday, having last been seen outside the Splashy Fen farm.
Information received about an hour ago is that he was seen on Monday morning at the Underberg taxi rank dressed in the same clothes he is wearing in the photo above.
It is assumed that he would have tried to go towards Howick.
Craig is most likely trying to get back to Johannesburg, but he may have been aiming for Newcastle, where he and a friend had planned to go before returning home.
Craig’s father and uncle went with the police to the Splashy Fen farm yesterday to look for him. The police have also conducted aerial searches by helicopter, interviewed friends, locals and neighbouring farmers, and deployed a search and rescue team.
If anyone has seen him hitchhiking or getting into a vehicle, that information would be vital to the police.
