Molweni Trail Run

By The Crest Magazine03/11/20132 Mins Read

Entries are now open for the Molweni Trail Run, taking place at Krantzkloof Nature Reserve in May 2014.

The first ever Molweni Trail Run is a two day experience of running through pristine natural forests, crossing rivers, up steep inclines, across open grasslands and through an urban township.

There will be a 6km time trial on Saturday 3rd May and a tough and technical 32km course on the 4th May. The warm shower, great meal and massage afterwards will all be covered by the entry fee.

The cost for entry is R880 which includes an athlete goody bag containing a Salomon technical garment, choice of Salomon socks or peak cap, Island Tribe and 32GI sponsors product, discount voucher to purchase a Drift Camera (must be bought at the event), lucky draw prizes and more.

There are only 250 slots available – so make sure you enter early!

Athletes not lucky enough to get into the first 250 entrants will go onto a waiting list and will be informed should an athlete be unable to make the event. The final field will be confirmed with enough time for all athletes to prepare adequately.

The top athletes will be competing for their share of the prize money, sponsors product and am entry to the famous Otter Trail run.

The route profile will be available on the website once the final route has been confirmed. Map images are currently available on www.molwenitrailrun.co.za.

There will be other events on the weekend of 3-4 May, such as the Mini-Molweni for Kids. Spectators are welcome and will be directed to specific ideal viewing points for both safety and logistical reasons.

Athletes can enter online at www.molwenitrailrun.co.za.

For event details contact Event Director, Graham Daniel on 082 745 6708 or graham@369communications.co.za.
