July 29, 2011. Having barely recovered from snow, days of heavy rain and bitterly cold weather earlier this week, KwaZulu-Natal now faces another two days of cold temperatures and rain.
Durban forecast for today (Friday 29), high temperature of 20C, dropping to 10C, max temperature for Saturday is 21C.
Mooi River will be 0C overnight.

Here’s hoping the road closures that affected the province are a thing of the past, after the drama at Van Reenen’s Pass earlier in the week.
Among those affected by the weather were the organisers of the Good Food and Wine Show, as people working at the show and trucks delivering goods and materials were stranded on Van Reenen’s for hours on their way to Durban.
Sad news for the Durban-crewed yacht Sticky Fingers (which included Umhlanga crewmen), which had to retire from the Vasco da Gama yacht race earlier due to a 40+ knot headwind (75km/h). The crew had to take shelter at Richards Bay as it was deemed unsafe for them to continue on towards the finish in Durban.
