German pop star “infected lovers with HIV”
German pop singer Nadja Benaissa, who is half Moroccan, has appeared in a Frankfurt court on trial for causing grievous bodily harm and attempting to cause bodily harm.
The allegations: that she slept with three lovers while knowing she was infected with the HIV virus.
It’s claimed that Benaissa had sex on five occasions between 2000 and 2004 (with three separate people) and did not inform them of her status. Police believe Benaissa infected one of the men. She faces a possible six months to 10 years in jail, if convicted.
Benaissa is part of a pop group called No Angels. News agencies report she has admitted to being addicted to crack cocaine when she was just 14 and has discussed her HIV status in interviews.

Wow! that is a hectic story! and controversial! if you have unprotected sex with someone KNOWING you are positive is that the same as attempted murder or even murder if the partner becomes infected?? Because as far as modern medicine has come with regards to living with HIV/Aids, there is still NO CURE…I’m not sure what sort of person could do what she did…? Guess she really is “no angel”…….
