Orchid show at Greenstone Shopping Centre
The Spring exhibit of the East Rand Orchid Society on 1 and 2 September in the centre court at Greenstone Shopping Centre promises to have an enchanting display for all orchid fans. The success of the orchid show held in February committed the organisers to return with a full show to the delight of orchid lovers.
If you don’t have green fingers you need not fear because all plant lovers can learn a few simple techniques from the Orchid Society members. There will be stunning plants for sale by local growers from bonsai and bromeliads to hoya and carnivorous plants to help you create your own fresh oasis.
The East Rand Orchid Society aims to promote interest in the conservation, cultivation, knowledge and breeding of orchids, in indigenous, exotic species and hybrids. The best orchid of the season will also be awarded at a private session on Friday 31 August.
