Professional organiser, Gina Pires, has some handy tips for kids and students to organise their work space at home or at school.
Try to prepare your space cases and school/sports bags the night before (it takes five minutes) and make sure that all your crayons and pencils are sharpened and ready to use for school and extra lessons after school too.
• Pack a separate plastic folder with your file or exam pad for extra Maths, Afrikaans or Science, for example, and make sure you have ALL the stationery for that class so you don’t waste the teacher’s time scratching around for everything during class.
• Prepare you lunch and snacks the night before and place them in the fridge – that will help reduce mom’s chores too.
• Set out you uniform, polished school shoes and sports items for the next morning, all ready to go.
• By doing all this you will have an EXTRA 10 minutes in bed in the morning…
