Outrage at bunny killers

November 25, 2010. News24 reports that a group of “crush fetishists” has caused an online storm in China after uploading graphic videos showing young Chinese women crushing small rabbits.

In the videos, which have rapidly done the rounds online, several smiling women are seen in turn cuddling and playing with small bunnies just before crushing them as other giggling girls look on.

In one scene, a young woman reportedly places a bunny on a table before covering it with a plate of glass and sitting on it for about a minute. The bunny is later seen lifeless, blood oozing from its snout.

Bunny crushers stir online anger

Asiaone News reports that an apology from one of the festishists has been rejected by the online community: “A woman filmed killing a rabbit by sitting on it has issued an apology online,” the report said.

“The woman’s apology has been met with criticism from netizens who believe it is a lie.”

According to online reports, an insider from “crushfetish” – the organisation the woman belongs to – said this is often a tactic employed by such fetish groups.

The organisation said women who have appeared in previous animal abuse videos which gained strong internet coverage also apologised in an attempt to shift public opinion away from the group.
