Are there any Minion fans in your family? While searching for some homemade gift ideas, I stumbled across these on www.nontoygifts.com. Give them a bash with your kids and let us know how they turned out!
You will need:
Stones, blue yellow and white acrylic paint, black marker
Directions:
Step 1: Choose your rocks. They don’t have to be perfectly rounded and have a smooth surface. Any rock will do as long as it is big enough for you to paint on. If you can’t find any, you can always buy a bag of polished rocks.
Step 2: Paint the overalls. You will need three coats of paint.
Step 3: Paint the rest of the Minions using your yellow paint.
Step 4: Once the paint is dried use a pencil to outline the eyes, and then paint them white.
Step 5: Use a black marker for the mouth and glasses frames.
Before handing the painted Minion rocks to my boys, I wanted to have a little fun on my own and created two cards. I only added a few balloons and drew arms and legs for the little fellows.
Now it’s my kids’ turn to play with the Minions and I’m happy to report they built houses for each of them.
