Heading north or to the Cape for a stress-busting holiday this festive season? Then your good mood is likely to be soured by the announcement on Friday of another petrol price increase.
The Department of energy announced that on Wednesday, December 1, the price of all grades of petrol will be increased by 13 cents.
Petrol will go up at the coast from R8.08 to R8.21 a litre, while inland it will go from R8.32 to R8.45.
The price of diesel will go up by a similar amount.
This follows on from a 20c a litre hike in November.

This is ridiculous, increasing the petrol price and putting up toll roads to make people use the Gautrain. And, on top of it all, we have to spend money on new devices and number plates we should get for free. It is the government that is changing, not the people.
