Pink Phoenix Cancer Foundation hosted their first Spring Fashion Show at Beverly Hills Hotel on Tuesday 3 September.
The Beverly Hills Hotel made history by hosting their biggest event to date, donating the venue for this momentous occasion.
On one of the most perfect mornings of the year, 220 guests were treated to a continental breakfast on the edge of the ocean.
The Fashion Show featured top Durban designers Kathrin Kidger, Carol Clark and Bianca Warren.
Terry Scott not only styled the hair for all the models but was also a major contributor towards the gifts and prizes which the guests were spoiled with. Nixon make-up and Sean Baker Photography took care of the rest, capturing the beauty in each model.
The “Brave & Beautiful” initiative introduced two of their ambassadors as VIP guests: Ashika Maharaj, a breast cancer survivor and Emma McGraffin, a cervical, stomach and lung cancer survivor, who defied medical predictions to give birth to a miracle baby girl, just days before the Fashion Show.
Guest speaker, Caleb Keegan, mesmerized the audience with his emotional and inspiring story of his eight year struggle with Hodgkins Lymphoma (Caleb is 22 years old now, and has been fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma since the age of 14).
Founder of Pink Phoenix, Sharon Van Straaten and breast cancer survivor, Jayne Law proved that glamour is ageless, as they joined the young models in showing off the stunning designs.
