Klokkies travels with the sharks.
Celebrate Life SA, a non-profit organisation, in conjunction with the Sharks are launching the Klokkies Rhino initiative today at Kings Park with a view to raising funds to contribute to the protection of both Black and White Rhino in KwaZulu Natal.
Klokkies, named after a Rhino from Skukuza in the Kruger Park, is an adorable plush Rhino teddy who will travel with the Sharks team during their Super Rugby Campaign for 2013 and in so doing raise awareness of the plight of the Rhino in Africa. In addition, signed rugby jerseys, of all the opposition teams will be collected for auction at a gala event that will be held at the end of the competition.
“We are fortunate to have the support of the Sharks”, says Cherry Armstrong, Director of Celebrate Life, “we are a Durban based organisation, our Rhino project is focused on KZN to start and it makes sense for us to partner with our very successful rugby team”.
