Westminster Abbey has released a new smartphone app ahead of the Royal Wedding on April 29th, giving users a virtual tour of the Abbey.
Abbey 3D, which uses the latest laser scanning technology combined with 3D modeling, features an internal scaled replica of Westminster Abbey.
It opens at the Great West Door, the spot where Catherine Middleton will start her walk down the aisle with her father to the High Altar.

Flashing up along the way are “hotspots” of information about key areas of the Abbey, such as the Grave of the Unknown Warrior, and their significance on the day of the wedding.
Archive pictures and potted biographies on key participants at the Royal Wedding will be on the app, as well as a cross-section birds-eye view of the Abbey showing the layout of the church.
Abbey 3D is available on Android, iPhone and iPad.
