Chocoholics the world over are shocked at the news that Italian chocolate tycoon Pietro Ferrero died yesterday whilst on a business trip in South Africa.
Pietro Ferrero was the son of Italy’s richest man, and heir to the billion dollar chocolate empire that owns Ferrero Rocher and Nutella.
The 47-year-old grandson of the Ferrero company’s founder died yesterday afternoon whilst cycling in Cape Town.
Following much speculation about the cause of the incident, reliable sources indicate that he had suffered a heart attack.
Pietro Ferrero, who lived in Belgium with his wife and three children, stood to inherit the family wealth along with his brother, Giovanni.
