June 30, 2011. With moderate south-westerly winds today along the KZN coast and fine winter conditions there has been plenty of sardine action in the Sardine Run 2011.
According to the KZN Sharks Board Sardine Run Hotline there was extensive netting just to the right hand side of the Snake Park beach in central Durban today. With the wind staying relatively calm there were excellent opportunities also in the Karridene and Umgababa areas, while there was some netting in the Phumula Beach area.

Mike Anderson-Reade, head of operations for the KZN Sharks Board, said that there was plenty action lower down the south coast in the Margate area and with relatively small swells it was a perfect opportunity for the fishermen.
