Despite a quiet day in the Sardine Run 2011, there was action at Pennington and sardines even appeared at Salt Rock today.
Plenty netting of sardines has taken place today along the upper and lower south coast and on Durban’s beaches.
After a busy day in Durban yesterday, the Sardine Run 2011 action has moved down to Toti, Warner Beach and Chain Rocks.
Sardine run activity continues to escalate and the fish have now been seen north of Durban at Virginia Beach.
It looks to be a quiet day on the sardine run front as bad weather and heavy swell put a stop to netting.
The sardines continue to head north and netting took place around midday near Illovo beach, the South Coast.
