Say NO to crime!

Say no to crime

Dear Residents,

Have you and your family had enough of crime? Well now is the time to show your support by joining us.

You are invited to the Highway Combined Neighbourhood Watch braai / meeting to be held at Pinetown Cricket Club in Lahee Park on Saturday, 27 October.

Recently links were established with neighbourhood watch members in adjacent suburbs (such as Moseley Park, Hatton Estates, Ashley, Cowie’s Hill, Hillcrest, Kloof, Waterfall, etc… and of course New Germany and Padfield, with whom we have brought down the number of crime incidents over the past 2 years or so – 63 arrests and counting!) and will be gathering representatives from these areas on this day, to have a ‘meet and greet’ as well as linking up with SAPS, Blue, Proforce, ADT, Transnet, Safer Cities, etc…

Make it a family day out and help support Pinetown Cricket Club

We also plan on making it a family day, with a jumping castle for the kiddies (confirmed by Blue Security), and a raffle. The media have been invited too.

Our area of focus will be the train line (which affects us all in terms of criminal activity), and a line walk will be conducted at 2.30pm.

Those who are less energetic can stay behind at the club and help with the litter collection in Lahee Park (with the kiddies’ help!).

Braai stands will be provided by Dale Otto at the club, and their cash bar will be open for refreshments (drinks to be consumed on the club premises patio/deck area). Pinetown Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in the country, so please support them, and in so doing you will be contributing to the survival of the club. There are TV screens on the club premises, so you will not miss the Currie Cup Final!

12h00: meet and greet
12h30: announcements
13h00 – 14h30: braai and social
14h30 – 16h30: patrol in various neighborhoods
17h00: currie cup rugby final at cricket club

Please get friends/family excited about this day!

For more info, please contact me on the number below. Looking forward to your support!

Regards

Nikki
