Say Shiperoo – International Shopping Online

By The Ridge Magazine15/12/20213 Mins Read

Shiperoo has broken that online shopping barrier. Now you can buy international brands online from overseas retailers who don’t ship to South Africa. Feel 100 percent secure with Shiperoo’s speedy, personalised and professional courier service from there to here.

Shiperoo. South Africans are going to love this concept, for very good reason. Grant Barrie and Matthew Walsh are the brains and brawn behind Shiperoo – Grant based in the UK, Matthew in Durban. That’s important, because they’re fully hands-on, and they take their service personally.

How often do you try to buy something online in the UK, Europe or the USA, and you’re hamstrung because they don’t deliver to South Africa? You need a local address in the country of purchase. Latest camera lens not yet released here, beauty product unavailable here? No go.

Now there is. Enter Shiperoo.

Grant and Matthew have designed a service specifically for those who want things they can’t get here. It works like this. Sign up on their website. Shiperoo provides you with a local address and unique ID. When making your online purchase, you put in that local address as your delivery address. Shiperoo notifies you when your parcel is received at the warehouse, you log in and select your preferred courier option. Shiperoo takes care of the rest.

Essentially, you shop as you normally would online, but you have the major advantage of using the warehouse address in the country where you’re making the purchase – instead of your own physical address. Many more doors open for you.

As Grant says, “Shiperoo basically enables South Africans to shop a broader range of brands, accessories, and products, by opening up the rest of the world, and enabling them to shop with confidence. These are retailers who generally don’t ship to SA.”

Grant has a strong financial background, and Matthew’s spent 14 years in logistics and the e-commerce world, so they’re the perfect partnership for Shiperoo. They know what the clientele wants, are highly service-oriented, and very responsive to queries. “Our focus is on delivering a high quality, personalised and efficient service to our customers,” says Matthew. “We’re there on the ground daily, so we make sure everything runs smoothly. You email us, engage with us on our website chat – if you have a question or there’s an issue, and we’re on to it.”

Another major plus – they offer a consolidation service. You can purchase from five or six different retailers, and Shiperoo will consolidate your parcels into a single shipment, reducing your shipping costs by up to 70%. Take a look at their website for a host of additional services to enhance the user experience.

How fast is Shiperoo? Fast. Your parcel is usually delivered within five to seven days of leaving their warehouse. The Guernsey warehouse is a winner too. Save 20% VAT when shopping UK retailers using Guernsey – best suited for one-off orders of £150 plus.

Shiperoo is currently in the UK/Guernsey and Europe, and the USA is imminent. They’re going to be everywhere, and that name will be on everyone’s lips. Shiperoo. Shopping the world made easy.
