As we hit snake season, when snakes are active in their search for food and partners, Hillcrest Conservancy invites you to a morning of learning more about snakes and how to deal with a ‘snake incident’.
The Snake Awareness Morning is presented by Pat McKrill, author of ‘Getting to Know the Neighbours’. Topics to be covered include: common species recognition, what to do with snakes that come into our gardens and how to overcome a fear of snakes.
The event takes place at Springside Nature Reserve in Hillcrest on Saturday 22 November from 9am to 11am. The cost is R40 per adult and R20 for children under 12 years. All are welcome, especially property and home owners and/or tenants and their families, garden and domestic staff and service industry staff.
Bring your own refreshments to enjoy afterwards in the beautiful setting of Springside Nature Reserve. There will be picnic tables, benches, braai and other facilities available.
For enquiries, please contact Pat McKrill on 083 303 6958.
