Pop and jazz sensation Andrew Young will be celebrating the Festive Season at his favourite marine theme park, uShaka Marine World, in 2014 – starting with a once off show at Wahooz on the Promenade on Saturday, 29 November!

On November 29 between 12 noon and 4pm, fans can kick back at Durban’s most laid back destination, sip a cocktail and look out over Durban’s sunny shores as Young and his five piece band from KwaZulu-Natal blow up a storm.
This show features Andrew Young’s unique mix of rock and pop including well-loved songs such as “Georgia”, “Baker Street”, “Still Got the Blues” and more.

Andrew Young will be uShaka’s very own Christmas Kenny G in their eagerly anticipated 10th Dolphins by Starlight Spectacle between 5 and 14 December, where he will be performing a number of Christmas favourites including “Winter Wonderland”, “Let it Snow”, “We Three Kings” and “Carol of the Bells”. He will also perform “Sarajevo” with the KZN Youth Choir.
The English born star was classically trained in both clarinet and saxophone from the tender age of eight. After completing his studies in London, he moved to Germany where he explored other genres of music, performing at numerous concerts, functions and events across Europe – including one attended by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, and Prince Charles at the Royal Festival Hall, in London in 1985.
Young made his name in Africa when he began performing with the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra. During this time, he also formed his 5 piece jazz/funk/fusion band, Let It Flow. He has also performed at various music festivals in South Africa, including: The International Jazz Festival (Cape Town), Jazzathon (Cape Town), JPL Jazz Festival (Durban), National Arts Festival (Grahamstown) and the Rand Easter Show (Johannesburg), to name a few.
Young has performed with popular artists such as Joseph Shabalala from Ladysmith Black Mambazo and James Galway, has released nine albums and continues to astound audiences with his beautiful instrumental work.
