Station Masters – revived!

Situated in central Hillcrest, Station Masters is more than just a pub – offering good food, good company and cold beers. Sports-lovers are in for a treat, with 10 flat screen TVs showing all major sports events, from the rugby to grand prix and cricket. And all this in a green setting with a play area to keep the little ones entertained.

Recently acquired by the Harper and Stratton families, the original wooden bar, with stained glass detail and railway memorabilia, has a traditional feel, while manager Tom Harper injects a good dose of youthful energy to the place. “We are available for functions and have already hosted a wedding,” says Tom. “If you have an event in mind, give us a call and we’ll arrange something special for you.”

The menu has a new look, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared in a modern way. Starters include jalapeno poppers, Mediterranean-style anti pasti, and calamari with a balsamic reduction, and are available in party-perfect sharing boards.

You’ll find the old classics, like burgers and pies, alongside delicious new dishes, including crispy eisbein, which has been an instant hit, and exciting daily specials.

Whatever the time, there’s a reason to pop into Station Masters – from a hearty breakfast with the family to coffee and lunch with the girls … and a good night out, of course! Station Masters is open seven days a week, only closing on Sunday evening so the staff can take a well-earned break.
