Phase 2 of the Stockville Road rehabilitation project is scheduled to begin during the second two weeks of January 2014 and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2014.
“Stockville Road from Azalia Road to Zinnia Road will be closed, with access only to local residents during the construction period,” says DA Ward Councillor Rick Crouch.
“Commuters are urged to refrain from using Stockville Road during this time as all traffic will be diverted down Azalia Road to Zinnia Road. Zinnia Road is a very small road, wide enough for only one vehicle. Because of the road conditions, traffic delays and back-ups are expected.”
The cost of the project is R1,8-million.
