Housebreaking is such a common crime that Blue Security publishes a long list of local reports every week. While the list of robberies is depressing, there are usually a couple of snippets about stupid thieves to cheer up the reader.

An attempted housebreaking turned sour for two criminals who were caught red-handed in the early hours of this morning.

Serious crimes may be on the decline according to national stats, but robberies and housebreaking are on the up.
