Housebreaking is such a common crime that Blue Security publishes a long list of local reports every week. While the list of robberies is depressing, there are usually a couple of snippets about stupid thieves to cheer up the reader.
On Monday, three armed robbers entered the premises of a business in New Germany, held up the cashier and fled with the cash.
These dim-witted desperados didn’t count on the fact that there are people who know the difference between real and fake firearms. Customers chased after the robbers, apprehended them, and recovered two fake firearms and three cell phones.
On Tuesday, thieves tried to tow a microbus from the yard of a residential property in Northdene. The tow cable snapped and the thieves abandoned the vehicle.
