Hillcrest-based financial services company The Unlimited proved that its unique business approach is a winning strategy by scooping the top award in the Finance and Business Services category at the FNB KZN Top Business Portfolio Awards.
The Top Business award is judged according to the Standard Industrial Classification of Economic Activities, an internationally accepted set of codes adopted by Statistics SA. Nominated companies are assessed based on their achievements in the various categories as well as the adoption of best business practises and their contribution to the socio-economic growth of the province.
According to Steph Bester, CEO of The Unlimited, the award is the ultimate validation of the way The Unlimited does business.
“It is the first time that we entered and we are absolutely delighted at taking the top honours in our category. When the company was first established in 1994, we made a conscious decision to go about our business differently. We realised that the financial services sector can be daunting for the man on the street. Our innovative approach in creating products that are simple and offer real value has resonated with our customers. These awards recognise that we are a serious player in the financial services sector,” mentioned Bester.
