So Father’s Day is on Sunday 17 June. Why not plan some really cool activities to do with your dad? Here are some ideas to get you started.
Moses Mabhida Stadium
There are SO many things to experience at Moses Mabhida Stadium that your dad will just love! You can take him in the SkyCar to the viewing platform at the top of the stadium for spectacular views, or he can actually jump off with the Big Rush Big Swing! There are also Segway Gliding Tours of the stadium and promenade and an Adventure Walk where you actually walk up to the top of the arch. Afterwards you can relax at People’s Park Café for a breakfast, lunch or coffee. Visit www.mmstadium.com.
Mini Town
Okay, so this one is more for the kids…. But I’m sure dad will find his inner child and have a blast! Enjoy the mini city, complete with harbour and ships. It’s affordable too! Call 031 – 337 7892.
Ricksha Bus Tour
Hop aboard the Ricksha Bus for a scenic three-hour tour of Durban’s major attractions. There are two Ricksha Bus city tours a day, seven days a week. Call 031 – 22 4209.
Durban Natural Science Museum
Another one that is for the kids, but will also captivate the adults. Entrance is free and it’s a trove of dinosaurs, fossils and taxidermied predators that will enchant bath kids and grown-ups. Call 031 – 311 2256.
