October 4, 2011. Trees were uprooted, homes smashed, telephone poles pulled down as a tornado wreaked havoc in a couple of minutes at Duduza in Gauteng on Sunday. Residents reported a few moments of sheer terror and one child was reported killed.
In more freak weather, another tornado was reported at Ficksburg in the Free State. Earlier this year a tornado was reported and filmed off the Bluff, Durban.
Yesterday and Sunday night Durban was lashed by heavy rain and winds.
A powerful storm arrived in Gauteng on Saturday night and rain and electrical storms continued right through Sunday.
